Prestige Estates tumbled 3.86% to ₹1,570 after its Q1FY27 numbers showed consolidated net profit sliding 19% YoY to ₹235.9 crore, even as revenue rose 16% to ₹2,675 crore, as higher contractor and land costs pushed expenses up 22% and squeezed the EBITDA margin sharply to 32.13% from 38.74% a year ago. Adding to the pressure, residential pre-sales collapsed 45.7% YoY to ₹6,579 crore, though that comparison is against an unusually high base from Q1FY26. On the brighter side, the company struck a strategic partnership for a 14.6-acre Thane residential project with roughly 5 million square feet of potential, while its retail arm posted an 18% YoY jump in gross transaction value to ₹737 crore on the back of 5.2 million mall footfalls. Despite the near-term stumble — reflected in a nearly flat one-year CAGR — the 21 analysts covering the stock maintain a strong buy consensus with an average target of ₹1,892.14, well above current levels.
