Brigade Enterprises edged up 0.47% to ₹645.25, holding steady after its Q1FY27 numbers showed net profit surging 37% YoY to ₹217 crore, though a chunk of that came from a ₹36.6 crore exceptional gain rather than core operations. Revenue actually slipped 5% to ₹1,179 crore and residential sales volumes fell 6%, but the real estate business more than made up for it on profitability, with EBITDA margin nearly doubling to 21% from 12% a year ago as realizations jumped 21% to ₹14,256 per sq ft. The company kept its full-year presales guidance intact at ₹9,000 crore and continues to run a conservative balance sheet with net debt of ₹2,218 crore and a debt-equity ratio of just 0.26x. The stock has been a laggard over the past couple of years, down over 15% on a 2-year CAGR basis, but its 10-year track record of 22.43% annualised returns and a strong-buy consensus from 15 analysts with an average target of ₹775 suggest the Street remains constructive on the longer-term story.
