Indian Bank edged up 0.12%, holding close to its 52-week high of ₹1,000.9 after a Q1 FY27 print that sent the stock up 10% on results day — net profit rose 10% YoY to ₹3,273 crore, NII grew a strong 17% to ₹7,435 crore, and total business crossed ₹15.29 lakh crore, up 14% YoY and ahead of the bank's own FY27 guidance of 11-13%. Asset quality improved meaningfully too, with gross NPA down to 1.86% from 3.01% a year ago. The stock has now gained 35.55% over the past year, and with a 5-year CAGR of nearly 48%, the long-term trend looks considerably stronger than the broader banking pack.
