Aurobindo Pharma bucked the sector's gains, falling nearly 2% to ₹1,666 even as the company navigated a busy patch of regulatory scrutiny. A routine US FDA inspection at subsidiary AuroPeptides wrapped up with just one observation, and importantly, one that pertains to facility and equipment maintenance rather than data integrity or GMP compliance — typically read as a manageable outcome. Less comforting was the news from another subsidiary, Apitoria Pharma, which picked up three observations after inspectors reviewed its Unit-VI API plant in Andhra Pradesh in late August. That regulatory overhang seems to be weighing on sentiment today despite a strong Q1FY27 showing, where revenue rose 16.3% to ₹9,150.3 crore and net profit jumped 25.2% to ₹1,032 crore. Brokerages remain constructive regardless — Nuvama has reiterated a Buy with a ₹1,753 target, valuing the stock at 16x FY28E earnings, while HSBC has kept its Buy call intact with a ₹1,580 target, and the stock's one-year CAGR stands at an impressive 58.66%.
