Tata Consultancy Services inched up 0.25% to ₹2440.20, a small but notable move for a stock that has been under pressure through 2026, down 36% year-to-date and still languishing about 29% below its 52-week high of Rs 3350. The June-quarter numbers gave investors something to chew on, with revenue up 13.93% YoY to Rs 72,275 crore and profit growing a more modest 4.62% to Rs 13,349 crore, as margins compressed to around 24% on the back of wage hikes and heavier AI-related spending. The board sweetened the deal with a Rs 12 interim dividend, while the company's AI business is clearly scaling up fast, with annualised AI revenue touching $2.6 billion, up 13.6% quarter-on-quarter, and a fresh $9.5 billion order book that includes a landmark AI deal with SKF. Morgan Stanley stayed constructive on the stock, retaining its Overweight rating with a target of Rs 2880, implying upside of over 12% from current levels.
